Fascadale Lodge
Sleeps 8
Built on the ruins of a 15th Century shepherds cottage, the house overlooks Fascadale bay and has a panoramic view of the islands to the north and mountain ranges to the east. The patio is a suntrap and from here you can watch birds or scan for sharks, dolphins and whales out to sea, or just close your eyes and soak up the sounds and scents of the coast.
The nearby woodland is a haven for birds and you are likely to see buzzards, kestrels, sparrowhawks and possibly eagles hunting here and over neighbouring moorland. From this point there are lengthy hill or coastal walks, after which a spell in the sauna or in front of the fire might be in order.
The house has two double bedrooms, 1 en-suite and the 2 twin rooms. In the kitchen there is a cooker, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher as well as fridge-freezer. The lounge has a television and dvd.
